How the Accumulator Calculator Works
An accumulator (also called an "acca", parlay, or multi) combines several selections into one bet. Every selection must win for the bet to pay out. Because the winnings from each leg roll onto the next, the potential return grows fast — but so does the risk.
To work out the return, the calculator multiplies all the decimal odds together to get the total odds, then multiplies that by your stake. Profit is simply the total return minus the stake you put on.
Accumulator Formula
- Total odds = Odds₁ × Odds₂ × Odds₃ × … (all selections multiplied)
- Total return = Stake × Total odds
- Profit = Total return − Stake
Worked example
You place $10 on a four-fold accumulator with decimal odds of 2.00, 1.50, 3.00 and 2.20. Total odds = 2.00 × 1.50 × 3.00 × 2.20 = 19.80. Total return = $10 × 19.80 = $198.00, so your profit is $188.00 — if all four selections win.
Decimal, fractional and American odds
This calculator uses decimal odds because they are the easiest to multiply. If your odds are fractional (e.g. 5/2) or American (e.g. +250), convert them first with our odds converter.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is an accumulator bet?+
An accumulator combines two or more selections into a single bet. All selections must win for the bet to return anything; if one loses, the whole bet loses.
How is an accumulator return calculated?+
Multiply all the decimal odds together to get the total odds, then multiply by your stake. Profit is the return minus your stake.
What is the difference between a double, treble and accumulator?+
A double has 2 selections, a treble has 3, and an accumulator (acca) has 4 or more. They all work the same way — every leg must win.
Why do accumulators pay so much?+
Because the odds multiply. Combining several selections quickly produces large total odds, which is why a small stake can return a big amount — though all legs must win.
Is this accumulator calculator free?+
Yes — completely free, no sign-up. It is an informational tool to help you understand potential returns before placing any bet.
