How the Treble Calculator Works

A treble is a single bet on three selections, where all three must win for the bet to pay out. It sits between a double (two selections) and a four-fold accumulator. The three sets of decimal odds are multiplied together and then multiplied by your stake.

Treble Formula

Worked example

A $10 treble at 2.00, 1.80 and 3.00 has total odds of 2.00 × 1.80 × 3.00 = 10.80. Return = $10 × 10.80 = $108.00, so profit is $98.00 if all three selections win. If any one loses, the whole treble loses.

If your odds are in fractional or American format, convert them with the odds converter first.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a treble bet?+
A treble is one bet on three selections. All three must win for it to pay out; if any selection loses, the whole bet loses.
How is a treble calculated?+
Multiply the three decimal odds together to get the total odds, then multiply by your stake. Profit is the return minus your stake.
Is a treble better than three singles?+
A treble pays much more if all three win because the odds compound, but three singles are safer — with singles you still collect on the winners even if one loses.
Can a treble be each-way?+
Yes. An each-way treble is effectively two trebles — one for the win and one for the place — so your total stake is doubled. Use the each-way calculator for place terms.
