How the Yankee Calculator Works

A Yankee is a full-cover bet on four selections made up of 11 bets: 6 doubles, 4 trebles and 1 four-fold. Unlike a Lucky 15, it has no singles, so you need at least two of your four selections to win before it returns anything.

The 11 bets

Worked example

A $1 Yankee (total stake $11) on four selections at 2.00, 3.00, 4.00 and 5.00 that all win returns about $345 ($334 profit). If only two win, only the one double between them pays. Because there are no singles, a Yankee is a little cheaper than a Lucky 15 but riskier with few winners.

Related full-cover bets: Trixie (3 selections, 4 bets), Patent (3 selections, 7 bets with singles), Canadian/Super Yankee (5 selections, 26 bets) and Heinz (6 selections, 57 bets).
