Age calculation seems simple but has subtleties — months have different lengths, and leap years add an extra day every 4 years. The correct method counts full completed years first, then remaining months, then remaining days.
For example, if you were born on March 15, 1990 and today is May 8, 2026: you completed 36 full years (March 15, 1990 → March 15, 2026), then 1 full month (March 15 → April 15), then 23 days (April 15 → May 8) = 36 years, 1 month, 23 days.
In total days: simply subtract your birth date from today. A person born January 1, 1990 has lived approximately 13,277 days (as of 2026). Each leap year adds one extra day to the count.
